“Skills Needed to Defend Against Natural Events or Other Individuals”

When it comes to protecting ourselves from natural events or other individuals, there are several skills that can be crucial for our survival. In addition to combat skills or self-defense techniques, there are other abilities that we should develop to be prepared in emergency situations. These skills can help us overcome obstacles, avoid dangers, or even save lives. In fact, attitude and mental preparedness can be much more important than physical skills in certain situations.

One of the fundamental skills for dealing with emergencies is CLIMBING. It allows us to overcome obstacles easily or reach specific points that could save our lives or help someone else. The ability to scale walls or objects can be crucial in circumstances where escape is the only option or when we need to reach a higher point for a better view of the situation.

RUNNING is another essential skill for survival in dangerous situations. If we don’t know how to run, we may not be able to escape an imminent danger or reach a safe point in time. Speed and endurance in running can make a difference between life and death in many situations.

Being able to FALL properly is another skill that can save our well-being in various situations. When facing an attack or being in dangerous situations, the ability to fall in a controlled manner can reduce the risk of serious injuries. Learning to relax the muscles and absorb the impact can be crucial to minimize damage during a fall.

Knowing how to SWIM is essential when near water or in situations where we have to fight for survival. Being able to float and swim allows us to move safely in water and avoid drowning. Moreover, swimming can also be useful for overcoming obstacles such as rivers or lakes.

Resisting EXTREME TEMPERATURE is another skill we should be aware of. Whether we are in a very hot or very cold environment, we need to be able to withstand extreme conditions in order to react appropriately. Hypothermia or heatstroke can pose serious threats to our health, so it’s important to be prepared and know how to manage such situations.

In addition to physical skills, developing good EMPATHY is crucial. It allows us to recognize dangers and avoid risky situations or confront them where possible. Seeing the world through the eyes of others can make life easier, without judgment, understanding others’ feelings, and keeping them distinct from our own.

“Being prepared, the attitude… is much more important than any combat technique.”
