MOBILITY ROUTINE

Movement it’s the way to physically express yourself.
It’s about understanding your body, learning how to move properly using the brain to activate and coordinate the muscles and limbs involved in the performance of a motor skill.

This routine It’s a fusion between bodyweight training, mobility and flexibility.

The approach to this practice is pretty unique because the way we process the information is different from the way you would do by learning a specific discipline.
For instance learning a style of martial art ,tennis, football etc etc…

When you practice movement the directions given in order to perform a certain task (movement sequence) are not always directly referring to the type of sport you are practicing or specific movement you are required to perform.

The idea is that we work around the information we receive daily, without stressing the brain too much.

Let me give you an example:
If I wanted to teach somebody how to fall backwards on a hard floor…
I would NOT start from asking them to jump.
I probably would ask them to lie down on their back to get the feeling of being on the floor first.
Maybe roll backwards and forward, stand up again, squat deep.

Learners don’t even need to know why they are doing all this things.
Too much information can freeze them, stop them from taking new information.
Maybe they are not even yet ready to know the next move.

Learners eventually will find themselves performing more complex movements without thinking of it.
Chains of movements linked together.

The goal is to learn as many movement patterns as possible and make them flow together.
Once you learn some of the basic movements and transitions you can start building your own personal flow of movements.

Movement can be adapted for ALL fitness levels from beginners to the super fit.
Everyone’s body is different, so don’t worry, you won’t be comparing yourself with anybody else.
It can be more helpful to compare a person’s mobility from one side to the other than it is to compare them to another person.
